Welcome back to Saturday morning cleaning—a tradition that’s always been filled with music, movement, and a lot of fun. Every Saturday morning, the house would fill with music, and I’d know exactly what was about to happen: CLEANING. But it was never just about getting the chores done—it was about dancing my way through it!
I’d try out my best moves as I changed my sheets, picked up the floor, folded laundry, and selected my five outfits for the week. This wasn’t just tidying up—it was a celebration of movement.
Today’s activity took me right back to those mornings when I’d dance like a kid again. Yes, I did end up cleaning, of course, but I also added my oldest, most special moves as I went. Each time I bent down to pick something up or reached to change the sheets, I danced through the motions, remembering the joy I felt when dancing as a kid—uninhibited, playful, and free.
It was a reminder that even in the most routine tasks, we can infuse a bit of playfulness and joy into our movement. Dance doesn’t have to be reserved for a studio or a planned session—it can happen anywhere, anytime, especially when we let go and embrace the freedom of movement like we did as kids.
